Your resume content
Everything you type — your name, work history, bullets, skills — stays in your browser. It is saved in your browser's local storage so you do not lose it on refresh. It is never uploaded or seen by us. Imported resume files and job descriptions are parsed entirely on your device too. Because there is no account or cloud backup, you should export a JSON copy before clearing site data or moving to another device.
Anonymous usage counts
We count visits, resumes created, and PDF downloads. Our hosting infrastructure may attach a two-letter country code to the request; Croov stores that code with the aggregate count but does not call an external IP-location service. There is no account, analytics cookie, or device ID connecting events into a user profile. We use these counts only to understand how the tool is being used.
Feedback
If you use the feedback box, the message and the same country code described above are stored so we can read it. It is one-way: no name or email is attached, and there is no way for us to reply through that form.
Abuse protection
To stop automated spam, the telemetry endpoint temporarily converts the requesting IP address into a one-way, secret-keyed token for the current rate-limit window. The raw IP address is not stored, and the short-lived token is used only to enforce request limits before it expires. Croov does not write the raw IP into its application database; the hosting provider may still process standard request metadata in its infrastructure logs.
What we don't do
No AI or LLM ever reads your resume — every check, suggestion, and score in this app is plain, deterministic logic running in your browser. No third-party analytics scripts, no ad trackers, and no advertising cookies. We do not sell personal data or use anonymous telemetry to build advertising profiles.
